In accordance with the recent Nairobi news, TTC (Toyota Tsusho Corporation) has undergone a rebranding process and is now known as Cooperation for Africa and Overseas (CFAO) in Kenya. The purpose is to increase the diversity of vehicles in terms of multiple brands. CFAO will be the sole dealer for Toyota automobiles and other popular brands, including Honda, Hino, and Suzuki.
A statement was issued by the Managing Director of CFAO, Arvind Reel. In accordance with that, Toyota will be used as a business entity name, and CFAO would primarily be dealing in Toyota vehicles. He said, “Toyota service standards and offered products are not undergoing any modification. Simply, the brand is being renamed.”. Arvind also explained support why rebranding was required in the first place. According to him, the purpose was dealing in cars, bikes, etc., by multiple sellers. Reel further specified that the earlier strategy included other big names like Suzuki under the Toyota umbrella. However, it gave birth to communication-related problems, so they went for non-specific brands.
The rebranded version will enhance sales volumes for both used and new vehicles. AutoMark is the business entity under which the vehicles will be sold. Reel mentioned that the company would be focusing on staff training and end-to-end sales/services of vehicles. The training will help the personnel in assessing vehicles. CFAO, which is overtaking the entire venture currently has a net worth of 5.8 billion Euros since initiating work operations in 1852. Apart from automobiles, CFAO also deals in healthcare and infrastructure as well.
