CFAO Motors is the new name of Toyota in Kenya. Kenya has a developing Automotive Industry so to stay relevant in the market they had to overcome with a good strategy which was this. The company has mentioned improving the value in the Automotive market with the new identity. As Toyota has a big name in the Automotive market of Kenya. Being the biggest seller. It has many models of cars including SUVs, Sedan, and sports cars. The Managing director of CFAO motors had mentioned “ We will be the main distributor of Toyota with another name.”
The mobility solution will be provided after the rebranding by distributing multi-brand motorcycles, vehicles, and car equipment. After Toyota, the new brand CFAO Motors will also assemble cars, sale second-hand and new cars, do vehicle maintenance, and even sell car parts.
The 33 outlets spread all over the country will make this happen. In the near future, they may be able to spread more in the country by opening more outlets. A France-based corporation which was spread by (TTC) Toyota Tsusho Corporation helped Toyota with the name change to CFAO motors in Kenya.
CFAO is great in health care, mobility, energy, consumer goods, and infrastructure. TTC made a division that was giving reports to CFAO Paris about all the operations in Africa. The special resolution was done by shareholders and the authorization approved the rebrand. As shareholders have rights to the company.
As the CFAO Motor Kenya managing director Arvinder Reel said, “CFAO motors may have much more value than Toyota in the Automotive sector of Africa.”
Mr. Reel also mentioned that the new cars of Toyota and their genuine parts will be still sold by CFAO motors and it will also offer a Toyota manufacturer’s warranty. He also said, “Companies like Hino motors, Suzuki cars, and Yamaha motorbikes are dispatched by CFAO motors.”With the other brands, it was difficult to communicate with the main brand which was Toyota so they had to rebrand it. He even said, “By selling good condition second-hand cars and car parts we may expand our company and achieve growth.”CFAO Motors also provides leasing services with the help of its leasing partners.CFAO will be Toyota but with another name in Kenya and it will include other companies too.
